This policy explains what personal data we collect through printyourpartygame.com, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We are based in the Netherlands, so we work under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who we are
www.printyourpartygame.com is operated by Boshuis producties.
Chamber of Commerce (KvK): 90903935 VAT number: NL001124210b59 Email: hello@printyourpartygame.comB
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
2. What we collect and why
When you place an order We collect your name, email address, billing address and country, the products you bought, and your order history. We need this to process your order, deliver your files, send your confirmation email and meet our tax and accounting obligations. Legal basis: performance of a contract, and legal obligation for our records.
We do not see or store your card details. Payments are handled by Stripe.
When you create an account If you choose to create an account, we store your email address, password (in encrypted form) and order history so you can access your downloads again later. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
When you sign up for our newsletter We store your email address and the date you subscribed. We use this to send you occasional emails about new products and seasonal releases. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Legal basis: your consent.
When you use our contact form We receive your name, email address and the message you send. We keep this so we can answer you and refer back to earlier questions. Legal basis: legitimate interest in handling customer support.
When you leave a product review Reviews are collected and stored on our own website using the Customer Reviews for WooCommerce plugin. When you submit a review we store your name (or the display name you choose), your email address and the content of your review. Your review and display name are published on the product page; your email address is not. Legal basis: your consent.
When we invite you to review After a purchase we send a single email inviting you to review the products you bought. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in collecting feedback about our products. You can opt out via the link in that email.
When you visit our website We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site — which pages are viewed, how long people stay, and which country visitors come from. This is collected through cookies and only when you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner. Legal basis: your consent.
Our web server also keeps standard logs including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site secure
3. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
Necessary cookies — required for the shop to work: keeping items in your cart, remembering that you are logged in, and processing your order securely. These are always active.
Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, used to measure how the site is used. These are only placed if you accept them.
You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link on our site, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary cookies will stop the shop from working correctly.
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the services we need to run the shop:
| Service | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing | US / EU |
| Brevo | Sending order and marketing emails | EU |
| Google Analytics | Website statistics | US |
| Hostnet | Website and email hosting | Netherlands |
Some of these providers are outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, transfers are covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
We may also share data where we are legally required to, for example with tax authorities.
5. How long we keep your data
Order and invoice data — seven years, because Dutch tax law requires it. Account data — until you ask us to delete your account. Newsletter data — until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages — two years after your question is resolved. Reviews — until you ask us to remove them. Analytics data — 14 months
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Have incorrect data corrected
- Have your data deleted, where we are not legally required to keep it
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Withdraw consent you previously gave, such as for the newsletter or analytics
- Ask for your data in a portable format
- Ask us to restrict processing
To use any of these rights, email hello@printyourpartygame.com. We respond within one month.
If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl, or with the supervisory authority in your own country.
7. Children
Our shop is not aimed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Our site uses an SSL certificate, so data sent between your browser and our site is encrypted. Access to customer data is limited to people who need it to run the shop.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
