Juneteenth Find Someone Who Bingo
The icebreaker that gets a room full of people out of their chairs and talking to each other.
Every square describes a person. Find someone who can name a famous Black poet. Find someone who has read a book by a Black author this year. Who knows what HBCU stands for. Who has made red punch or red velvet cake. Who has taught others about Juneteenth. Walk around, ask questions, and write down the name of each guest who fits. First to five in a row wins.
There are no calling cards and no host needed. The game runs itself, and by the end everyone has learned something about the people around them and about the holiday.
Why this Juneteenth find someone who bingo works
It starts real conversations. A question like “have you supported a Black-owned business this week?” turns into a recommendation, a story or a debate about the best barbecue in town. That’s exactly what a Juneteenth celebration at work, church or school is for.
Pick your pack size
30, 50, 100, 200, 300 or 400 cards. Every card is different, so neighbors can’t copy each other’s answers in the same order.
The packs build on each other. The 50-pack starts with the same 30 cards as the 30-pack, the 100 includes all of those 50, and so on up to 400. So you only ever need one pack. Buying the 30 and the 50 together would give you 30 doubles.
A team meeting or a classroom? 30 or 50. A company event, a church fellowship hall or a community festival? Go big with 200 to 400.
